Libby Graham - President Elect

Libby Graham became an active member of the JLE-NS in 2001.  She has fond memories of her New Member project and the friendships formed.  Libby has participated in League fundraising efforts, scholarships and grants, nominating committee, and Bylaws Parliamentarian.  Most recently, she was Sustainer chair.  It is a pleasure to return to Active service for the League.  Libby is celebrating her 10th wedding anniversary this fall and has 3 children.

Beverly Birck - Thrift House Co-chair

Bev joined the league in 2009, working on the Baby Steps project (whose name she coined!), then chairing the Member Enrichment Committee the following year.  Since then, she’s been working on the Thrift House Committee, and enjoying the challenge of increasing client-base, donations and revenue so that JLE-NS can continue its charitable giving in the community.  Outside of the league, Bev has served as a Daisy and Brownie troop leader, is a deacon at the First Presbyterian Church of Wilmette, and sings in the choir there.  Bev resides in Wilmette with her husband and two children.

Ramona Chauner - Project Research and Development

Mona Chauner joined the Junior League in 2008.  While making new friends was an exciting appeal of the league, Mona was drawn in by the desire to help people in the community that would benefit from Junior League activities. At the time, Mona lived in Evanston with her husband and newborn son, and would take walks that would bring her into the Thrift House.  That is where she began to learn more about the league.

Linn Clagett - Fund Development Chair

Linn joined the JLE-NS in 2012.  She served on the donations committe for Baby Steps during her new member year. This year she is serving as the Fund Development Manager and is excited for a great year!

Paula Danoff—Diaper Drive Chair 

Paula joined the Junior League last century.  She has served on every committee culminating in President in 2007-2008.  She has had the honor of work at JLE-NS Thrift House for two years as a part-time manager. She has been a Sustainer twice in her JLE-NS career and enjoys becoming an Active member every few years to help where needed.  Paula is now delighted to be heading up the Diaper Drive project.  Outside JLE-NS, Paula is Director of Development and Communications at the Evanston Art Center. 

Larysa Domino- New Member Chair

Larysa joined the Junior League of Evanston-North Shore in 2011. She served as the “Chair of the Day of Committee” on the Baby Steps Project, an educational baby shower for new moms-to-be in need. This year, she is looking forward to working with the New Member class as the New Member Chair. 

Samana Jasper - Fitting Futures Co-Chair

Samana Jasper joined the Junior League in 2011. She was the Public Relations Chair for her new member class working on the “Baby Steps” Project. She was asked to become the Co-chair of Fitting Futures during her second year and filled the role.  She chose to continue this role in 2013 so she could help to expand and organize the committee. Samana is passionate about helping families get healthy naturally. She has a natural family health business called Kids N Moms in Northfield.  She has two great stepchildren who are 11 and 13 years old. 

Kate Kligora – Placement Chair

Kate has been a member of the Junior League of Evanston-North Shore since 2005.  She was President in 2009-2010 and President Elect in 2008-2009.  She has served as Community Counts Chair, and as the Chair of the League’s new Kitchen Tour fundraiser “Designer Kitchens of the North Shore,” for which she received the Founder's Award in 2011.  Last year Kate was the JLE-NS Finance Director, as well as a sub-committee chair for the Kitchen Tour.  Last year, Kate was our Membership Recruiting Co-Chair.  Outside of JLE-NS, Kate was a partner at the consulting firm Accenture, where she worked for 20 years.  She lives in Winnetka with her husband and three year old son. 

Sophia Kondos - Scholarships and Grants Chair

 Sophia joined the Junior League in 2010 and feels that one of the most rewarding experiences was to be a part of the Baby Steps project.  Since then, she has worked on the Kitchen Tour by promoting this amazing fundraiser through social media and by coordinating advertisements for the tour sales book. Currently, she is the chair of the Scholarship and Grants committee which supports a variety of non-profit community agencies throughout the Chicago’s North Shore and awards scholarships to students who exemplify an outstanding volunteer spirit. 

Emily Link — Kitchen Tour Chair

Emily joined the Junior League of Evanston-North Shore in 2012 and worked with the fundraising committee for the new member Baby Steps program which she found very rewarding.  This year she looks forward to chairing the 4th year of the leagues Kithen Tour fundraiser.  Emily lives in Winnetka with her husband, two year old daughter and their black lab, Hobart. 

Jennifer Luczkowiak- Internal/External Communications

Jenn joined the Junior League of Evanston-North Shore in 2011.  She enjoyed working on the Donations Committee during her first year for the Junior League's Baby Steps program, which provides a beautiful baby shower with resources, gifts, and educational seminars for mothers in need.  Last year Jenn was the New Member Recruiting Co-chair and also the Co-Chair for our 3rd Annual Designer Kitchens of the North Shore Kitchen Tour.

Jackie Maman - Internal and External Communications Chair Elect

Jackie joined the League of Evanston-North Shore in 2012, serving on the "Day of Committee" for the new member project Baby Steps. This year, she is looking forward to working on the Internal and External Communications Committee and 90th Anniversary Celebration Committee.

Tammy Mitchell - Sustainer Chair

Tammy joined the Junior League in 1997. She has been active on various committees including Kitchen Tour, benefit balls, and Reading is Fundamental, which provides books and promotes reading in grade schools. Corporate transfers have afforded the opportunity to support Junior League initiatives in several states and Tammy has been active in the Junior Leagues of Madison, WI and Birmingham, MI. In 2009, she transferred to the JLE-NS where she has served on Management Board as Cookbook Chair and Policy Board as Member at Large before becoming a Sustainer in 2012.

Outside of JLE-NS, Tammy is a Senior Director of Product Development and Strategy at TransUnion. Tammy is also President of her sorority alumnae association and serves on the Neighbors of Kenilworth board.  Tammy resides in Kenilworth with her husband and Cairn Terrier, Mugzy.

Anna Pappas  - Thrift House Co-Chair

Anna joined the league in 2009, working on the Baby Steps project as Chair, then co-chairing the Recruiting and Advisor Committee the following year.  Anna then became Chair of the New Members the year after, followed by the Policy Board last year as Membership Director.  As Co-Chair of the Thrift House Committee, Anna is enjoying the challenges of Retail to increase the client-base, donations and revenue so that JLE-NS can continue its charitable giving in the community and building it’s Brand Image. 

Outside of the league, Anna is President of her own business in Enterprise Software Applications, is a passionate Sports Mom (hockey, football, soccer, lacrosse, volleyball, basketball and cross country) and HUGE Fan (did we mention she is obsessed with the Blackhawks, and loves the Bears and Cubs) Additionally, Anna also serves in multiple positions for her community PTA, kids sports teams and 2 Civic Organizations.  Anna lives in Northbrook with her husband and three children.

Lisa Stadler - Recording Secretary

Lisa joined the League in 2000 and was active in the Teen Mentoring Project. From 2002-2012 she took a leave to raise her daughters. I rejoined the League in 2012 and was a member of the Internal and External Communications Committee. 

Elisabeth Wagener - Social

Elisabeth's Junior League career began when she received an invitation for membership and joined the Junior League of Houston. Upon moving to Chicago, she transferred membership to the Junior League of Chicago and was involved with a variety of committees.  She received the Chicago League's "Bright Shining Star Award."  Shortly thereafter, Elisabeth transferred membership to the Junior League of Evanston - North Shore where she has served multiple years on the Kitchen Tour Committee and has assisted the Diaper Drive Committee. Elisabeth looks forward to an additional successful League year serving as Social Chair and facilitating activities for membership while also promoting the League's mission through volunteerism. She lives in Winnetka with her husband and small army of children.  

Linda Weber - New Membership Recruiting Co-Chair

Linda joined the League of Evanston-North Shore in 2011. She served on the "Day of Committee" for the new member project Baby Steps, which provides an educational baby shower and gifts for new mom's in need. Last year she served on the "Sponsors and Volunteers" sub-committee for the "Designer Kitchens of the North Shore" fundraiser. This year she is excited to help recruit new members for the League and get to know the new member class!
